The Illustration program allows students into the world of the most versatile medium for artistic communication. Visual storytelling through diverse artistic techniques.
Becoming an Illustrator, Concept Artist or Character Designer at Publishing Houses, Advertising Agencies, Producers of games and video games, Film production houses, music & culture, Digital archives online.
Illustration supports and contextualizes stories and fairy tales, enriches newspapers and magazines (both on paper, on the web or in e-books), school materials or newsstand and enhances the packaging of a product.
This program allows students to analyse and apply the creative process and its expressive graphic communication, using the most innovative and technological practices of contemporary media. Students will find guidance through theoretical and practicing demonstrations to achieve an individual communicative artistic voice and handle difference styles in specific areas.
To meet the needs of the market, over the years we have included new subjects related mostly to the world of digital publishing, but in the course are also presented additional lessons such as History of Illustration, Editorial Graphics, Visual Communication, Right of ‘ Author, Creative Thinking, Marketing, Social Media, Photography, and Basic Computing. Along the way, Fiction and No Fiction projects are realised for participation in national and international exhibitions and competitions, as well as products for traditional and digital publishing, cinema and advertising.
An illustrator can actually be used in any entertainment industry. For example, think about how many artists are constantly researched and contracted by the producers of board games and video games or by the film houses active in the production of live action or animation films.
